Managing Subscriptions

Learn how to effectively manage all your subscriptions in one place.

Adding Subscriptions

You can add subscriptions manually through the dashboard using the subscription form. The form includes the following fields:

Required Fields:

  • Name: The service name. You can type a custom name or select from popular subscriptions (Netflix, Spotify, etc.) which includes icons and colors.
  • Amount: The cost per billing cycle (numeric input with currency formatting)
  • Billing Cycle: Select from Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly

Optional Fields:

  • Description: Additional details about the subscription (textarea)
  • Currency: USD, EUR, or GBP (defaults to USD)
  • Category: Select from available categories with icons and colors to organize your subscriptions
  • Status: Active, Paused, Cancelled, or Expired (defaults to Active)
  • Next Billing Date: Calendar picker to set when the subscription renews next
  • Billing Day: Day of month (1-31) for recurring billing
  • Payment Method: How you pay for this subscription (e.g., "Credit Card", "PayPal")
  • Website URL: Link to the subscription service website
  • Notes: Additional notes or reminders (textarea)

Subscription Limits:

  • Trial Users: Can add up to 3 active subscriptions. If you try to add a 4th, you'll be prompted to upgrade.
  • Active Users: Unlimited subscriptions after upgrading from trial.

When you add a subscription, the system automatically:

  • Calculates the next billing date based on your billing cycle if not specified
  • Creates a renewal alert for you
  • Tracks the subscription for your records
